Step By Step Username Registration Instructions Go to http://cservice.undernet.org/live/ On the left side of the page, click "Register." There are seven steps on this page. Read the information carefully and fill out completely. If the registration is successful, you will go to a page that reads, "Your registration email has been sent. Please wait to receive it, and then follow the instructions it contains to continue." The e-mail will direct you to a web page with your password on it. You may change it later, but you will need it to login the first time. Once you have your password, you are ready to log in to X. Once connected to IRC, type: /msg x@channels.undernet.org login USERNAME PASSWORD (Use your newly selected username and mailed password.) If it is successful, you should see something like, "-X- AUTHENTICATION SUCCESSFUL as 'USERNAME'" in your status screen. Perform a /whois on yourself to see that you are logged in. To "mask" your address, type: /mode NICKNAME +x To check your masked address, perform a /whois on yourself. You should see something like, "USERNAME.users.undernet.org is now your hidden host" To change your password you must visit http://cservice.undernet.org/ and click on "Web Interface." Then login with your OLD password. When the page is loaded click on the "New Password" link on the left. Follow the instructions.
